Easy Tips For Physical And Mental De-Stress

Stop “trying” to eat healthfully START doing it 100%.  Why? because “trying” to do something can be stressful.  Feeling good and healthy is a large part of  “Living The Good Life”.  We learn about this when we aren’t feeling well.  Not eating well causes us to struggle mentally and physically. Eventually we will have to get more creative to regain what we may lose from less healthy habits. This can cause that emotional roller-coaster which produces fatigue and feeling drained from those highs and low’s. By choosing more healthy foods to keep your life on a better even track,  you can meet challenges in your daily life more “easily and stress free” to accomplish your goals.  Less stress and more peaceful living is of great value for experiencing more happiness each day.

“Easy Tips” for Physical and Mental De-Stress Each Day.

On the physical health side: It’s known that we are products of our environment, our thoughts and our habits.  “Think a thought, sow an act…Sow an act, reap the habit,…Sow the habit, reap the character,… Sow the character, reap the destiny.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

I like Dr. Joel Fuhrman M.D. and agree with what he says about eating nutritiously for health:

“This will take strength and effort, but the pleasure and rewards will be priceless”!

1.  “Go Cruciferous“!   Cruciferous vegetables are your best defense for fighting cancer!                     Examples: broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussel sprouts, cabbage, bok choy, arugula, collard greens, daikon, mustard greens, kohlrabi, radishes, rutabaga, turnips, watercress.

2.  Salad is the main dish – and the secret to successful weight control and a long healthy life.

3.  Low-nutrient foods fuel overeating behavior – “Flood Your Cells With Nutrients”!

4.  Eat For Health…put an end to type II diabetes or heart disease – and get off medications!             Dr. Joel Fuhrman M.D.

For Mental De-Stressing:

Take a “5 Minute Fix of silence and quiet” to enhance your mental focus and happiness. Give your brain a chance to be off duty…by inviting more quiet into your busy life. This will assist you in being more productive while making healthier decisions.

If you lose those moments to de-stress then you also lose the chance to process and integrate things you have learned… heard… and done.  Helpful ideas show up when you turn off the noise.  Many people get good insights when taking a bath or while taking a shower without any distractions.

You’ll discover as I did that without distractions; you will have more space to think, relax, brainstorm, and enhance your ability to move toward achieving those things that make you feel happy.

The Following Points Are Helpful For Me:

1. Turn down the volume and stop living with chronic noise.

These are some small changes that give my brain the opportunity to focus and reflect, so I can make healthier decisions. When we turn down the volume we can tune into another person and experience a connection in a relationship that we can’t get from a life awash with noise, chatter, and distractions.

2. Take regular breaks from social media just 5 minutes at a time helps to allow more quiet time into my life. This helps me to be calmer and more energetic.

Constant noise around us adds to the rise of blood pressure and it affects how well we remember things too.  Studies on quiet and the brain show that in a noisy environment (ex: a crowded restaurant) affect short term memory in that it becomes overloaded, because the brain circuitry that processes recall and speech is the same one that handles noise.  Ever notice that when you are driving and you become lost you’re likely to turn down the volume on the radio?  That’s because when it’s noisy in your environment it’s tougher to concentrate and find your way.  It works the same way for trying to find your way in life…when there are too many distractions it’s harder to focus, plan properly, and delays occur for coming up with the right solutions.

If you are usually distracted by TV, background noise, or a vibrating cell phone, you miss out on your brain being off duty.  Usually when my brain is quiet I come up with those great hunches. When your brain is constantly going it is much harder to process what you have learned,  you are less attentive to what you have heard, what you have done, and your recall is not as sharp.

3. When less distracted and less stressed you’re more likely to keep up positive habits.  Here are a few ways to invest in calmness:

When you are first driving out in your car wait 5 minutes before turning on the radio.

Instead of flipping on the TV right away you can choose what to read by getting your news on line.  It’s better than being forced to process all the days distressing range of stories to watch and fear.

The following has never failed me for decades.  This is my knowing that has become my personal program so I don’t have to tune into the media hype all the time.  You may want to try my approach.  Be positive and consistent with this for it to work for you as well.

I just know and believe,  that I will find out everything I need to know… at just the right time I need to know it…and will be able to do whatever I have to do… with plenty of time to do it.

4.  Set Boundaries for yourself.  Example: Refrain from checking your phone during meals.  You’ll digest your food much better.  Without constant threats of interruptions your more inclined to do something productive for your brain like daydream to invent design your present and future. 

5. Meditate which is about quieting the mind and helps you to get inspired.  In order to have new fresh ideas come to you…give your mind calm quiet moments.  Take deep…relaxing…slow…belly breathes in through your nose…and out through your mouth…to experience calmness, and feel more centered. This will enhance your health and focus.

And when you are eating foods packed with nutrients, and include the mental habits to achieve happiness and calm; you’ll become more inspired and productive. Your brain will love it too.

Life’s small moments can only add up to something more meaningful when you give yourself the chance to reflect on them!

Benefits of Energy Healing

Are you living in flux all the time?  In a stressful world, anxiety and depression are at the root cause of the problems. This is where Energy Healing transmissions can come to the rescue!

Dr Norman Shealy states: “For those seeking restoration of health, there are many options” :

I’d like to give insight as to what is going on with health disorders and how to achieve internal balance in our lives.

Here is a short review.

Energy Healing can enhance your ability to function at a higher level and allow you to serve a greater purpose with a lot less negativity.

Relieving Stress and Anxiety through Energy Healing sessions (which can be performed from a distance or done in person) are blessings in many ways. These transmissions of energy can help you to achieve a higher level of functionality in many area of your life. When stress is lowered or relieved… you can be “yourself “again.

I would like to explain further, the difference between happiness and excitement and how the lack of this understanding can cause suffering. Excitement although it seems to energize us, the effect that excitement produces is only temporary, and it comes to us in energy waves of peaks and valleys.  So you are feeling good, and then there is a let down feeling when the excitement has worn off.  You feel up and feel that adrenaline rush, but this type of energy produces, up and down moods and feelings, which can cause a variety of stress and health related problems and conditions.Happiness is a feeling from within that you bring outward into your daily life. With happiness there is an opportunity for sustainability.  The ups and downs from whatever circumstances you encounter; while feeling happy do not knock you off course feeling emotionally up and then down again.  It is the vibration where you are going along at a steady pace.  With this energy you do not feel extreme ups and downs, you are more neutral and in the flow of life; as opposed to the roller coaster lifestyle. You know the experience of feeling exhilarated and then when you calm down you feel depressed…or worse you crash.  This is what I call a good recipe for unhappiness.Stress will always be a part of life. but you don’t have to have anxiety.  If you think just because you are working with Spiritual pursuits you should not have stress in the life…well that is a misconception.  Stress is necessary part of life, anxiety is not.  Stress is the means of growth in human development. As long as you are alive you will be subjected to different forms of stress.

What one should focus on is how to have stress not affect you so radically, because through stress you evolve. Focus on the meaning this stress has in your life.  Life goes in cycles.  When you come out from the growth cycle which has its challenges and stressful situations; then if the stress has been viewed and assessed for the meaning it imparts to your life,…then you enter a cycle where you can flourish!! What you do not want to happen is to crumble under the stress.  Then you can stay at a level that will nourish you, to achieve homeostatis.

Happiness is attained through Healing Energy transmissions which helps sustain you and what often occurs…is the fear of the future over time dissolved from ones life.  This fear of the future lurks behind emotional stresses. But when you experience happiness you feel supported and nurtured and you return to your true self expression.  From this state you begin to live with purpose.

Finding ones purpose in life is a great feeling and from there you can contribute in the world in your unique way.  Everyone have a purpose and a way of doing something that expresses itself in your unique abilities.

You start feeling this happiness; which is generated from within, by just really getting in touch with ‘Yourself’.  Through the process of Energy Healing; some people report that they experience this feeling of coming home to themselves for the first time in their life. Energy Healing

I believe in Energy Healing as a means to change many situations in one’s life.

Audrey Hepburn, 1929-1993, famous Actress and Humanitarian, said the following and I agree with her in what she believes.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

I say, way to go Ms. Audrey, thank you, your spirit lives on.

A relaxed person always remains centered, making decisions without being swayed by inner struggles, and carries out tasks effortlessly based on their own intuition. Energy healing can calm the mind body and emotions.

A confident person never assigns their success or failure to someone or something outside of their self. Energy healing brings about confidence in your self and brings it forward into your life experiences.

A shift in perspective will enable you to more easily clear out your inner blocks and harness the power of responsibility and mastership in your life. Energy healing harnesses your internal power.  It assists you in calmness to be more clear of the way you should proceed to accomplish and achieve success.

There is great power in finally coming to the point of allowing oneself the opportunity to clear out negative situations/problems from your life. That is being a responsible person.

I’m talking about being 100% responsible for your life to start to gel in a positive momentum direction.  This is energy healing. This true responsibility I’m discussing here is never associated with guilt. It is associated with being clear and releasing that which is holding you back from past actions.  But when clouded and confused you can not be clear.

By being responsible to this degree you are not blaming others for past actions, and you decide to allow for a cleansing to occur that has not been possible before in your life. This action is a life changer. One of the most important words for us in the 21st Century is the word…Allow! It means that you are the boss and you decide what you will be and do for yourself.  And it all starts with you. This is another real truth.

If you have not learned for whatever reasons to like yourself the time is now.  There is power in this present moment of now. Energy healing can help you in this regard.  Everything gets changed from the point of this now moment. From being a decider.

More than we are doers we are deciders and once the decision is made we go on from what we have decided whether that is a negative or positive decision. It works both ways.  These kinds of things we may have not been taught from family, school, or society. Many didn’t know anything about it to teach us regarding healing our energy.

Nevertheless it is how things grow, operate, and become something into being, into reality.  Yet reality is very changeable.  The power of being responsible for yourself and what you have done  changes reality. This can be done with energy healing.  Allow yourself the opportunity to become more aware from your past actions and experiences; that gives you more control and ability to do things differently. That was then and this is now, and not repeat the same patterns.

Change for your life now, doesn’t happen in the moments of the past or the moments to come.  It may show up in the moments to come, but the change for that to occur happens now.  So decide!

It’s actually saying, okay enough is enough.  You usually get to this point when you are tired of being tired of the old stuff.  It has become a drag on you mentally, emotionally and physically to continue.  But you might not know where to start. Energy healing will help you start.

Energy healing works in through and around you. You can’t get away from that.  Energy is an intangible that operates in our life whether we believe it or not. Example: Love is an energy. It also is an intangible, because you can’t go to the store and buy something called love, you can only see its affects.  How it affects you is how the energy is operating.

You can decide to clear up your energy and come back to, return to your real self again, and clear out the energetic space around you. I can hear some of you say, I don’t know who my real self is anymore!  The good news is you can get yourself back on track to the real you that has been longing to emerge for so long and get introduced again. You’ll know your coming back to yourself from how the energy healing makes you feel better, stronger, mentally clearer, happier, and more content within yourself.

Its taken a long time for the energy to be built up in a not so positive way for feeling out of sorts with yourself.  In giving yourself energy healing(s) to move you in a positive upward spiral direction; you are being responsible to take charge of your life again.

Spices and Their Benefits

In this 2013 fall season coming up the flavor of spices and our sense of smell in cooking comes alive. Here are a few spices and their benefits:  Did you know that the Spices in your kitchen holds many benefits to your health.

“Let your food be your medicine, and let your medicine be your food” Hippocrates.   “Primum non nocerum. (First do no harm)” Hippocrates

Even as so stated above by Hippocrates; it’s a good practice to consult with your health care provider regarding using these spices for health related problems.

Garlic is a natural antibiotic and it can help reduce cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Nutmeg is a natural stimulant for the cardiovascular system. It can also ease joint  inflammation associated with gout.  It should be consumed in small doses, and not by children or pregnant women.

Ginger is among the most popular spices, and it eases nausea and cramps, and it has even been proven to fight against ovarian and colon cancer.  It has also been known to act as an anti-inflammatory and can relieve heartburn.

Cloves have antiseptic properties and kill bacteria that can lead to infection.  It also acts as a deterrent to free-radicals in the body and aids indigestion.

Tumeric has been used to treat arthritis, dysentery, and certain types of heart disease.  It is also believed to lower the risk for certain types of cancer because of  its intolerance to free radicals. It’s ability to decrease inflammation is good to keep in mind.

Saffron has properties that help fight the cancer cells associated with leukemia, and the treatment of depression and asthma.

Allspice has been said to act as an anti-inflammatory and anti-flatulent, and it is full of minerals, such as potassium, manganese, iron, copper, selenium, and magnesium.

Mustard increases body metabolism, helps digestion, and it is antibacterial, antiseptic, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
