Aromatherapy / Essential Oils

Aromatherapy Essential Oils

August 12, 2013 by Linda Crane 2 Comments

I am devoting time to natural approaches to health and choose to focus on Aromatherapy Essential Oils because they are so essential to health and I use them daily in my own life.  Naturally is the way I like to do things; because our inherent nature is natural; and if I can get the relief and healing from using the Therapeutic Essential Oils this is my choice and preference on our over chemical filled planet. It’s a great place to start.

Drugs are beneficial I agree, but to a point, and when they are necessary then they are a benefit, but when they are just used repeatedly with no relief then that very drug that can be a help, is no longer a help, it becomes a toxin.  Since our health is our most precious bodily asset we must look to the best way to approach every health situation.

Aromatherapy, “Essential Oils have a unique ability to penetrate cell membranes and diffuse throughout the blood and tissues. The unique lipid soluble structure of essential oils is very similar to the make up of our cell membranes. The molecules of essential oils are also relatively small, which enhances their ability to penetrate into the cells. When topically applied to the feet or elsewhere, essential oils can travel throughout the body in a matter of minutes.”                         Essential Desk Reference pg 1.18 Chapter 2 (5th edition)

Peppermint Therapeutic Essential Oil from Young Living, is a good example.  It is a great help if you have headaches or fever.  For headaches use just a couple drops around your hairline and jaw line (make sure you do not touch your hands to your eyes. Keep away from eye area). It can assist you in keeping alert.  All you need is 2 drops and many times just 1 drop will do.  You can put it on the back of your neck to cool off on a warm hot day, and the bottoms of your feet.  Use 1 drop in a cup of hot water for making tea, or cold water for a ice cold summer refresher.  It’s also great for digestion.  Use just a drop to rub on your tummy or drink with a drop in water. One drop is all you need as a great breath freshener.

Tip:  If you have to remove any oils at any time use some type of oil to remove it.  Water won’t work well in this regard.

Astrology 2012

November 14, 2012 by Linda Crane Leave a Comment

Clarity through, Astrology 2012, for the purpose of awareness, in the here and now, can bring about positive changes. Once we become aware of what is going on in, through, and around us, we can see the bright side.  Astrology 2012, brings out how important “coming to awareness will be at this time, because it really is “a life changer” and we get to understand things at a much deeper level which can bring about stability and creates moving forward in our lives.

Over the last 3 days have you felt unusually intense, emotional, off your mark, unsettled,  ungrounded, scattered, out of sorts-strange?  Well you just may be experiencing the heightened energies of the November 13, 2012 New Moon/Eclipse in the deep, hidden, intense, sign of renewal, Scorpio.

How do you get a renewal?  Something has to end that is no longer useful like: thoughts, situations, events, circumstances, persons, places and/or things, so that something can be transformed for a rebirth to occur. Eclipses bring about transformation, and evolution on a large wide scale.  These massive changes can also be welcomed if you are looking forward to change as a betterment in your life.  If not, well, change anyway it comes, shows up to be dealt with.  The question is how will you handle it??

If you are recognizing these energies within yourself, you are not alone. Eclipse’s can affect the shadow side to our nature, the unbridled energy that can just at the wrong time rear its head “I wish I didn’t do that…” in noticeable ways of effecting ourselves and others. Have fun with the intensity if you like, just note it’s best not to hurt anyone in the process.  It’s much harder to come out from under poor judgement/mistakes at these times.

We have a real whammy going on right now all at once. The Sun is in the sign of Scorpio, it’s a New Moon (the dark of the Moon), and Mercury is Retrograde in Scorpio as well. You can be affected on many different levels by Eclipses. A fight, waring within yourself or with others can be felt more intensely during this timing. Getting aggravated is easier during this Eclipse.  The affects of Eclipses can be felt long after its passing. Eclipses in many cultures were thought of as being “omens”, that carried fear and in some fashion obliterating what was in its wake.

Are you going through any unresolved issues at this time?  Feeling stuck, unfulfilled? These unresolved energies are held within our physical, mental/emotional bodies.  That is where the brunt of these burdens are stored, felt, and experienced at these stressful times.  It’s a good time to face and unearth to the surface, long held stagnant energies.  Face them through being aware of your programs that keep replaying through negative habits or unhealthy life style, and give them the change needed to transform into something positive.  This Eclipse in Scorpio can really lend us a hand in changing to a positive direction.

To reach a deeper understanding of our essence it’s important to comprehend that energy is just  energy; we can surrender to it and allow ourselves a deeper understanding of its self expression in our lives by doing the deeper work that transforms the old programs holding us back from achieving anything we choose to be, do, or have.

7 Things You Can Do To Give You Support During Intense Eclipses:

1)  Be Aware that problems become escalated at the level of our Ego’s.
During these times our ego’s get riled up.  To avoid the very deep pain that can come from this; When you sense your ego is trying to be in control:  Focus your breathing at your Heart Center. BREATHE deeply focusing on long inhales and long exhales. Do this several times until you feel more centered. Then ask yourself is my ego feeling lack of being approved of, a lack of feeling in control, or lack of feeling safety/security.  Then ask yourself could I give up my lack of feeling approval, lack of feeling control in this situation, or the lack of feeling safe and secure, and move into having the feeling of what I’m missing.” Feel, visualize, sense or know what it’s like having  approval, having control,  and/or having safety and BREATHE into that feeling at your Heart Center.

2)  Understand that emotions might run high at these times, and that our abilities of discerning the best course of action can become distorted. Do your best not to become fearful, instead stay centered in your heart. Important issues regarding healing, matters concerning your own personal evolution and spirituality, completion of projects, receiving insights, significant changes, uncovering hidden information, becoming more resourceful, are some areas that can come out of this timing: Eclipses can remove something from your life that doesn’t work or no longer useful, and replace it with something more suitable for you.

3)  Practice Allowing & Letting go: The art of surrender does not mean you give up, but rather that you let go of what does not serve you any longer.  Let go of those old thoughts, people and situations that can not help you expand, evolve, grow stronger, wiser, and healthier. Blame and guilt are better left behind as well. If you have become too rigid, then try something new.  Go with the flow.

4)  Reduce Stress:  Energy blocks are the main concern for the physical mental/emotional body.  They can be released in various ways. Take a walk each day, take baths with essential oils to help you relax. The Essential Oils of Peace & Calming, Valor, Vetiver for grounding, Sacred Frankincense and Dream Catcher are all wonderful choices. German Chamomile, and Australian Blue are great for physical pains. Get as much restful sleep as possible.  A good nights sleep is very important so you can think better and make good decisions.  Get your personal Bach Flower Remedies to help you cope with the changing circumstances.  Have an intuitive life reading to help you cope and give you guidance and direction on your particular concerns.

5)  Minimize Risk:  Be cautious with risky activities involving sexual encounters and use caution concerning money matters that involve possible money investments.  Check it out before your leap.

6)  Meditate: Powerful times for meditating are during Eclipses, New Moons, and Full Moons.  We can receive more powerful insights and messages from our guidance during these times. A suggestion is to focus on your heart center while meditating to open it and connect you to deeper levels within yourself to expand your awareness, support your life and show you the way to improve your personal life path.

7)  Gratitude is the Attitude:  It’s hard not to be happy and thankful when your life is changing, evolving and blooming in a more fulfilling direction, because you allowed your self the changes needed to develop, and from the experience feeling that a richer expression of yourself has emerged.  That is exactly what can occur during these times.  Go for the gusto and let yourself expand and shine in ways you were not able to discover before now. The Eclipse can be a good thing in disguise.

A Better You

August 3, 2012 by Linda Crane Leave a Comment

There are some key steps that can give you advantage to reaching your desired goals in becoming ‘a better you’.  It’s all about how you relate to your own experiences.  Your emotions will make or break you.  So it’s sound advise to break the bounds and chains that have held you back.  It may seem easier said than done, yet you are living in times of change, in a rapidly changing world.  That’s actually a good thing; because a time of change and action can catapult you into your new arena for self empowerment. When that seems too overwhelming take several slow deep breaths. Then have an intention set to your own personal channel for ‘a better you’: “I am inspired and blessed each day with ease”.

Actually you are already the better you inside just waiting to be acknowledged and let out of the illusions and negative thought patterns, old programs, and habits, that have clouded the real essential nature of your true self.  Your true self is “peace and joy“. There is nothing more natural than knowing and living out your true nature.  It’s time to emerge from the doubts and fears that have been holding you back.

How are you approaching life?  With fears or in loving ways? Fear and love are two opposite sides of the scale of emotions. Fear locks you into limitation. Love sets you free.  When you continue the same old ways of doing and being; you become complacent and comfortable with the way you have been.  Some people say ‘that’s just the way I am’.  Accept me the way I am.

If you are really happy with who you are that’s a different story, but if you are longing for a better way, ‘a better you’, then you will have to do something different than you have done before. That requires moving out a bit from your comfort zone. By just changing one (1) thing in your life, you will change many things easily and naturally automatically just from being in that new flow.

Here is a 7 Step Plan to ‘a better you’:

1.  Get to know who you are. From doing that one process of discovery and unfolding; you will develop a passion for life and living ‘a better you’.

2.  Develop a relationship with your inner wisdom, which is the God of your understanding within you. Focus on your spiritual heart center, located two finger digits to the right of the center of your chest. This is the location where your spiritual heart resides.  Focus on that center.  Imagine an intense white light shining there and then set your goal to be ‘a better you’. Do this each day for about 10 minutes.

3.  Be persistent on your focus in life with determination and a single mindedness of purpose.  Invest in your self discovery and inner strength, by embracing yourself where you are and move beyond it. You can change your approach to life and enjoy it for what it is right now.

In being really okay with what is going on right now, you are being truly accepting, and that will turn the tide of the stuck energy. When you don’t like something have you noticed how it never changes?  You can’t change it without being neutral with no emotional charge on what is playing out in your life now. I didn’t say you have to like the way things are, but you do have to accept the situation, and when you understand this, the stuck energy will have the space required to move out.

4.  It’s necessary to find a way within you to forgive yourself and others. Only you can give yourself this gift. Many times it’s easier to forgive others, but we don’t forgive ourselves for doing something we regret having done.  Don’t regret your days.  The blame and guilt trap never works.

5.  Think positive statements about your perplexing situations, example: What have I learned from this experience?  What is the best way to approach this situation? What is my best plan of action to get out of this problem?

6.  If you are asking why did this happen to me, nothing will get solved. That is termed as a negative why statement about yourself. In doing that your subconscious will bring up garbage from your past and re-stir the pot of negativity.  Good feelings are not brought about through negative why questions.  This just keeps you in an endless loop without closure to your problem.

7.  One of my wise teachers taught, “who cares why”. It’s done! it’s the past ! You can’t bring it back; so think what can I do to solve this so I can move on.  If you are going to use why statements always keep them in a positive framework.  Here are a few examples:  Why am I so abundant? Why am I so happy? Why is everything going my way?  Why is 2012 such a prosperous year for me? Why has it been so easy to be ‘a better me’?

Breast Cancer Prevention: Plastic Bottle

April 23, 2012 by Linda Crane 4 Comments

The dangers of water left in “Plastic” bottles.

On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said that this is what caused her breast cancer.
It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue..

Sheryl Crow’s oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.
The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.  So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

This information is the kind we need to know that just might assist you.
“Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic”!

This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center …
No plastic containers in microwaves.
No plastic water bottles in freezers.
No plastic wrap in microwaves.

Dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to cells in our bodies.
Don’t freeze plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.
Recently the Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating food in the microwave using plastic containers…..
This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastic releases dioxin into the food.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food… You get the same result, but without the dioxin..
So, such things as TV dinners, instant soups, etc., should be removed from their containers and heated in something else.

Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s safer to use tempered glass, such as Pyrex, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the styrene foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons….

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Cling film, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave.
As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.
Cover food with a paper towel instead.

On a lighter note explore the possibilities that energy healing can produce for these types of problems. Contact me at https://lindacrane.com,  for personalized sessions for your health.

In Good Health.

Blessings,
